Why isn't my Aspire data syncing?
Troubleshoot common Aspire sync issues.
Purpose
When Aspire data doesn't appear in Protiv, this article walks through what to check first.
When To Use This
Use this when:
- A specific job is missing
- Your Aspire data feels behind
- You see a "Sync Failed" status
Three First Checks
- How long has it been? — Aspire syncs every 20 minutes. Wait one full cycle.
- Is the integration card showing Connected? — Settings → Integrations
- Is the missing record actually saved + active in Aspire? — Check Aspire directly
If all three pass, dig deeper.
Common Issues + Fixes
"All data stopped syncing"
- Check for an Aspire credential change. API keys can expire.
- Try disconnect → reconnect.
- Aspire may have had a brief outage. Check Aspire status page.
"One specific job isn't appearing"
- Verify the job is in a status Protiv accepts (not draft, canceled, archived)
- Check exclusion rules in Settings → ProPays → Exclusions
- Verify the job is on a route or service type that's incentivized
"Wages aren't updating"
- Wage sync settings may be one-way only
- Verify Aspire is the source of wage truth
- Try disconnect/reconnect
"Sync is slow"
- Aspire's API has rate limits
- Bulk changes in Aspire (e.g. mass updating jobs) cause lag
- Wait 1-2 sync cycles
"Random errors in sync"
- Use the Aspire monitoring service to see error patterns
- Some errors are recoverable (Aspire flaky API). Protiv auto-retries.
- Persistent errors → contact support
When to Escalate
Contact help@protiv.com if:
- Sync has been failing for over 24 hours
- A specific record won't sync after 3+ cycles
- You're seeing data corruption (jobs showing wrong info)
Include:
- The Aspire job ID or work ticket ID
- What you expect vs what's showing
- Approximate time it stopped working
