How do I cancel my Protiv account?

Sometimes customers part ways with Protiv. This article explains how cancellation works and what to expect.

When To Use This

Use this when:

  • Your business is closing
  • You're moving to a different platform
  • The Protiv program isn't working for you

Important: Talk to Us First

Before canceling, contact help@protiv.com. We'll:

  • Understand why you're leaving
  • See if anything's salvageable (sometimes a fix or pause works better)
  • Walk you through data export
  • Coordinate the cancellation

We'd rather fix what's broken than lose a customer.

The Cancellation Process

  1. Reach out to help@protiv.com
  2. Confirm the account owner is requesting cancellation
  3. Decide on the effective date (end of current billing cycle is standard)
  4. Export any data you want to keep
  5. We process the cancellation

What Happens to Your Data

After cancellation:

  • Your bonus history is preserved for [your customer-data retention period — confirm with support]
  • You can request a final data export
  • Your integrations are disconnected
  • Workers lose mobile app access

Final Bonus Handling

Bonuses already approved will pay out per their normal schedule before cancellation completes.

If cancellation happens mid-pay-period, we'll work with you on:

  • Held line items (release or void)
  • Open statements (pay or void)
  • In-progress ProPays (finalize or cancel)
