How do I configure benchmark percentages?
Set efficiency targets for crews and services.
Purpose
Benchmark percentages set the expected efficiency level for crews. They feed into ProPay calculations and reports — telling the system "we expect this kind of work to come in at X% efficiency."
When To Use This
Use this when:
- You're tuning the bonus program after launch
- Some service types are consistently over or under benchmark
- You want different expectations per branch or service
What Benchmarks Do
A benchmark % is a target. If you set 95% for a service:
- Jobs hitting 95% or better are on benchmark
- Jobs above 95% are exceeding expectations
- Jobs below 95% are missing benchmark
Reports and Insights surface these comparisons.
Setup
Configurable in your settings under ProPays or Service Types. Set per:
- Service type
- Branch
- Division
Recommended Values
Typical starting benchmarks:
- New customers: 90-95%
- Mature customers: 95-105%
- High-performing teams: 105%+
Adjust based on what your actual data shows. Don't set benchmarks based on hope.

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them
"My benchmark is 100% but no one hits it" Lower it. Set benchmark to where 50-60% of jobs land — slightly below average so most jobs feel achievable.
"My benchmark is too low and everyone hits it easily" Raise it. Crews stop pushing if benchmarks feel automatic.
