How do I set custom bonus pools per branch?
Different bonus rules for different parts of your business.
Purpose
A single bonus pool fits most customers. But sometimes different branches need different rules — different splits, different retention, different waiting periods. Custom branch pools handle this.
When To Use This
Use this when:
- Your branches have different cost structures
- One region has a unionized crew with different rules
- You're testing a new bonus model on one branch first
- Acquired branches have a different bonus history
Setup
- Go to Settings → Bonuses → Customize
- Walk through the customize wizard:
- Step 1 — Set bonus distribution
- Step 2 — Select branches
- Step 3 — Select divisions
- Step 4 — Confirm changes
What You Can Customize Per Branch
- The 5 percentage splits (crew, mgr, lead, company, other)
- Retention days per role
- Statement assign-to-period
- Include deductions toggle
- Roll over negative
- Split job savings %
How Assignment Works
Each branch can be assigned to a specific pool. When ProPays generate for that branch, they use the assigned pool.
A branch can only be on one pool at a time.
Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them
"My customization didn't apply to existing ProPays" Pool changes affect new ProPays going forward. Existing ProPays keep their original calculation.
"I want different pools per division within a branch" Per-division pools are also supported. Drill into the customize flow's division selection.
"I want to A/B test different splits" Use two pools on two branches with different splits. Compare results after a quarter.
