How do I use the Protiv dashboard?
A walkthrough of the 7 dashboard sections and what to do with each one.
Purpose
The Protiv dashboard surfaces what needs attention and what's moving through the pipeline. This article covers the 7 sections and how to use them.
When To Use This
Use this when:
- You start your day in Protiv
- Something feels stuck and you want to see where
- You're training a new admin or manager
The Dashboard Sections
Filters and Saved Views
Top of dashboard. Use the filters to narrow to your scope.
If you regularly check the same scope, save it as a view. Click Save View, name it, done. Saved views appear in the dropdown.
Alerts
When data is missing or failing, alerts appear here.
Common alert types:
- Pending invite — User hasn't accepted their Protiv invitation
- Missing wages — Worker doesn't have a wage set
- Missing budgets — Job is missing a budget
- Needs invite — User hasn't been invited yet
- Failed invites — An invite bounced
Click into each alert to resolve.
ProPay Actions
ProPays awaiting your action appear here. Approve, review, edit.
Statement Payment Alerts
Statements ready to pay. Click in, review, mark paid.
Held Bonuses + Deductions
Line items in held status. Some are mid-waiting-period (auto-release later). Others may need manual release or voiding.
Job Progress Updates
Jobs that need progress entered. Click in, update progress, ProPay calculations refresh.
Job Health Overview
Health indicators across your jobs. Red = trouble, green = on track.
Team Insights
Team-level performance metrics. Use this to spot trends.
How To Use the Dashboard Daily
The most efficient flow:
- Set your filter scope (or use a saved view)
- Clear the Alerts section
- Process ProPay Actions
- Review Held Bonuses
- Approve Statement Payments
Five minutes. Done.
Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them
"My dashboard is empty" Either everything is clean (good) or your filters are too narrow. Reset filters.
"I see alerts but I can't resolve them" Some alerts are owned by different roles. Forward to the right person.
"Held bonuses keep growing" Someone needs to own the held queue. Usually the payroll manager.
