How can I edit bonus pools for ProPays that are part of a group?

You can’t edit bonus pools at the group level, but you can edit bonus pools on individual ProPays inside the group.

Purpose

This article explains the correct way to adjust bonus pools when ProPays are grouped.
While ProPay Groups are read-only, you can still edit bonus pools on individual ProPays within the group.

When To Use This

Use this when you need to:

  • Change the bonus split for a specific ProPay that belongs to a group

  • Handle exceptions or special bonus arrangements inside a grouped workflow

  • Fix an incorrect bonus pool on one ProPay without changing the entire group

  • Understand why the group view shows bonus pools as read-only

Before You Start

Before editing bonus pools inside a group, confirm that:

  • The ProPay you want to edit is still in an editable status

  • You have permission to edit individual ProPays

  • You understand changes apply to one ProPay only, not the full group

  • You are opening the ProPay itself, not just viewing it from the group summar

Quick Path

  1. Open the ProPay Group

  2. Drill into an individual ProPay

  3. Edit the bonus pool on that ProPay

  4. Save changes (applies only to that ProPay)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the ProPay Group

Go to the ProPays area and open the ProPay Group you’re working with.
This page shows all ProPays included in the group.

Step 2: Open an individual ProPay

In the group details, open one individual ProPay from the list.
You must be inside the ProPay itself, not just the group view.

Note: Bonus pools shown on the group page are display-only.

Step 3: Edit the individual ProPay bonus pool

Inside the individual ProPay:

  • Scroll to the Bonus Pool section

  • Click Edit

  • Adjust the percentage split as needed

Rules to follow:

  • All bonus pools must total 100%

  • The Save button stays disabled until the total equals 100%

  • You’ll see a warning that changes apply only to the current ProPay

Step 4: Save your changes

Once the total equals 100%, click Save.
The ProPay updates immediately using the new bonus split.

This change does not affect:

  • Other ProPays in the same group

  • The group summary bonus display

  • Any future ProPays

Examples

  • One job in a route needs a higher crew lead bonus

  • A specific ProPay requires a temporary manager override

  • A single ProPay was set up incorrectly and needs correction

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them

  • Trying to edit bonus pools from the group page
Fix: Open the individual ProPay instead. Group bonus pools are read-only.

  • Expecting changes to apply to all ProPays in the group
Fix: Each ProPay must be edited individually.

  • Not seeing the Edit button
Fix: Confirm the ProPay is in an editable status and you’re viewing it directly.

  • Assuming Settings changes update existing groups
Fix: Settings only affect future ProPays, not existing ones.
