  • You received an email invite from your company
  • You downloaded the Protiv app and need help logging in

Before You Start

  • Make sure you have the email your company uses for Protiv
  • Confirm the Protiv app is installed on your phone
  • Be ready to create your own password
  • Check with your manager if you’re unsure which email to use

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1 — Choose your display language

  1. Open the Protiv app.

  2. On the welcome screen, tap the language option at the bottom.

  3. Choose English or Spanish.

  4. The app saves your choice automatically.

Step 2 — Sign in with your work email

  1. Tap Sign In.

  2. Enter your work email.

  3. Tap Continue.

  4. You’ll be prompted to create a password if this is your first time.

Step 3 — Create your password

  1. Enter your new password.

  2. Confirm it.

  3. Tap Create Password.

  4. You’ll be signed in automatically once it’s accepted.

Step 4 — What happens next

After signing in, the app will show one of three screens:

A. You already belong to a company
You’ll move straight to biometric setup.

B. Your account exists, but you’re not added to a company yet
You’ll see:
“You're signed up! Waiting for a company to add you to their workspace...”
What to do:
• Contact your company admin.
• The app checks for updates automatically.
• You can log out and try again later.

C. You have a pending invitation
You’ll see:
“You’ve been invited!”
• The company name appears.
• Tap Accept to join.

Step 5 — Set up biometric login (optional but recommended)

You can use:
• Face ID (supported iPhones)
• Touch ID / fingerprint (supported devices)

To enable:

  1. Tap the biometric icon.
  2. Follow your phone’s prompts.
  3. You’ll see a success message when setup is complete.

Step 6 — Skip biometrics (optional)

If you don’t want biometrics:
• Tap Do it later.
• You can turn it on anytime in: Profile → Settings → Biometric Authentication.

Step 7 — Enter the app

After setup (or skipping it), you’ll land on your dashboard. Protiv will remember your login for next time.

Examples

Correct: Entering your work email, creating a password, and accepting your company invite.
Incorrect: Waiting on the invite screen without telling your manager — you won’t be able to use the app.

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them

  • Stuck on “waiting for a company to add you”
    Your manager hasn’t added you yet. Ask them to confirm your invite.
  • Can’t create a password
    Make sure you typed the same password twice.
  • Biometrics not working
    Enable biometrics in your phone settings first.
  • Don’t know your password
    Tap Forgot Password on the login screen.
  • App won’t load or freezes
    Force close the app, reopen it, or restart your phone.
