How do I search for bonuses or deductions by worker?
Use the People filter in Bonus Management to quickly find bonuses and deductions for one or more workers.
Purpose
This article shows how to find bonuses and deductions for a specific worker in Protiv. You can search at the statement level for summaries or drill into line items for full detail.
When To Use This
Use this when:
- You need to review bonuses or deductions for one worker
- You’re checking payroll before payout
- A worker has questions about their bonus or deduction
- You need detail on where a bonus came from
Before You Start
- You must have access to Incentives > Bonuses
- The worker must already have bonus statements or line items
- Decide whether you need a summary view or a detailed view

Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1 — Open Bonus Management
From the left menu, go to Bonuses.
You’ll land on the Statements tab by default.
Step 2 — Filter by worker

Click the People filter at the top of the page

Search for the worker by name

Select one or more workers

Results update automatically
Note: Only workers with existing bonus data will appear.
Step 3 — Review bonuses in Statements (summary view)
The Statements tab shows one row per worker per statement period, including:
- Statement ID
- Statement period
- Name / work dates
- Bonuses
- Deductions
- Net balance
- Rollover amount
- Status
- Actions
This view is best for payroll review and high-level checks.
Step 4 — Switch to Line Items (detailed view)
Click the Line Items tab to see individual bonus and deduction entries.
This view shows:
- Individual bonus or deduction amounts
- Bonus source (crew, manager, company, etc.)
- Category
- Associated job or milestone
- Status
Use this view when you need exact details on a specific bonus or deduction.
Step 5 — Add more filters if needed
Click Add Filter to narrow results further:
- Status (Open, Paid, Void)
- Statement period
- Division or branch (if applicable)
Filters stack, so you can combine worker + status + period.
Examples
- Reviewing one worker’s pay for a period → Statements tab
- Investigating a specific deduction → Line Items tab
- Comparing multiple workers → People filter + period filter
Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them
- Worker doesn’t appear in the filter
Fix: The worker must have existing bonus data. - Seeing totals but not details
Fix: Switch from Statements to Line Items. - Too many results
Fix: Add a status or statement period filter. - Not sure if a bonus is paid
Fix: Check the Status column.
