How do I invite a manager or admin?

Invite higher-permission users to Protiv.

Purpose

Inviting a manager or admin works the same as inviting a worker — pick the role on the way in. This article covers the steps and the role choice.

When To Use This

Use this when:

  • A new manager is starting
  • Adding a payroll admin
  • A current worker is being promoted to manager

Quick Path

  1. Go to People page
  2. Click + Invite User
  3. Enter their info
  4. Pick the role (Admin / Manager / Crew Lead)
  5. Send

Step-by-Step

Open the Invite User modal.

Fill in:

  • Email — Where the invite goes
  • Phone — For mobile auth
  • First and last name
  • Role — Pick from Admin, Manager, Crew Lead, Worker
  • Branch + Division assignment (optional)

Click Send.

Choosing a Role

You can always change the role later via Edit Role.

Bulk Invite

For multiple new users at once, use the bulk invite modal.

What the Recipient Sees

  • Email with a link to set up their account
  • Optional SMS notification (if phone is provided)
  • Click the link → set password → land in Protiv

If They Don't Sign Up

Pending invites show in the dashboard's alerts section. From there:

  • Resend the invite
  • Cancel the invite
  • Edit the invite (change role, fix email)

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them

  • "I invited as Worker but should have been Manager" Edit their role after they accept the invite.

  • "They never got the email" Check spam folder. Resend from the dashboard alert.

  • "Invite expired" Cancel + resend.
