How do I limit access to pay and budget data in Protiv?

Control which managers see wages, bonuses, and budgets.

Purpose

Not every manager needs to see wage data. Some customers prefer that field managers see budgets and bonuses but not specific worker wages.

When To Use This

Use this when:

  • You want to protect wage privacy
  • Field managers shouldn't see specific worker wages
  • Compliance or HR requires limited access

What's Configurable

How to Configure

Go to Settings → Roles (or org permissions).

For each role, toggle which data they can see.

Common Configurations

Standard:

  • Admin: Everything
  • Manager: Bonuses, ProPays, budgets, but NOT wages
  • Crew Lead: Their crew's bonuses only
  • Worker: Their own data only

Open / transparent:

  • Admin: Everything
  • Manager: Everything
  • Crew Lead: Their crew's bonuses + selected metrics
  • Worker: Their own data + leaderboard

Pick what fits your culture.

Per-User Override

In addition to role-level rules, you can override permissions per individual user. Useful for senior leaders who need more visibility than typical managers.

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them

  • "My manager can't see something they need" Verify what role they're on. Check permission settings for that role.

  • "I disabled wage visibility but they still see it on the bonus statement" Statement view is separate. Statement-level permissions may need their own toggle.

  • Permission matrix: what can each role see and do?
