How do I reactivate an archived worker?

Bring someone back after they've been archived.

Purpose

If you archived a worker by mistake, or they returned to the company, you can reactivate them. Their bonus history is preserved.

When To Use This

Use this when:

  • An archived worker is rejoining
  • You archived someone in error
  • A seasonal worker is coming back

Quick Path

  1. Go to People page
  2. Filter by Archived status
  3. Find the worker
  4. Open actions
  5. Click Activate

Step-by-Step

Open People. Set the status filter to Archived.

Find the worker. Click into their profile or open actions menu.

Click Activate.

Confirm.

What Comes Back

  • Their profile becomes visible in default People filter
  • Their bonus history is preserved
  • They can re-access the mobile app (if previously invited)
  • Any open bonuses from before archival can be reviewed

What Doesn't Come Back

  • Their integration sync state — if they're not in your integration anymore, they'll need to be re-added there too
  • Their permissions — they may need to be re-invited if their account was deactivated

Common Mistakes & How To Fix Them

  • "They're activated but their data isn't current" Verify they're also active in your integration. Sync brings their data back.

  • "They can't log into mobile" Re-send them an invite from the People page.
