What are the 3 types of ProPays?
Protiv offers three types of ProPays—Single, Grouped, and Phased—so your bonus structure fits the way your work actually happens.
In Protiv, you’ve got options for how to structure bonuses depending on the size and rhythm of your jobs.
Let’s walk through the three ProPay types and when to use each.
1. Single ProPay (for one-time or small jobs)
This is the most straightforward:
- One job
- One labor budget
- Bonuses are paid based on how far under budget the crew brings the job in
Best for:
- One-time jobs
- Small projects that take a day or a couple of weeks
2. Grouped ProPay (for recurring, high-volume work)
This one’s built for crews who knock out lots of small jobs in a short time.
- Instead of creating a bonus for every individual ticket…
- You group multiple jobs into one ProPay over a set timeframe (like a week)
- Bonuses are paid out based on total performance across all jobs in the group
Example:
- 50 landscaping stops in a week → rolled into one Grouped ProPay for the route
Best for:
- Recurring maintenance routes
- Crews doing lots of short-duration jobs
3. Phased ProPay (for big, long-term projects)
Big jobs don’t need to wait for big payouts.
- Break the job into phases (chunks of time or project stages)
- Each phase has its own labor budget and own bonus calculation
- Keeps payouts coming throughout the project—not just at the end
Best for:
- Construction projects
- Renovations
- Anything that spans multiple weeks or months
Quick recap
- Single ProPay → for small, one-off jobs
- Grouped ProPay → for routes and recurring work
- Phased ProPay → for big, multi-week projects
Each one’s built to match how your team works in the field—so your bonus program actually fits reality.
