What data syncs between Protiv and Aspire?
Here’s exactly what syncs between Protiv and Aspire, what flows in both directions, and how bonus creation is triggered.
If you’re using Protiv with Aspire, you might be wondering:
What exactly gets synced?
What can I change in Aspire vs Protiv?
And how does it affect my bonus workflows?
This guide walks through it all, clearly and simply.
What syncs between Protiv and Aspire?
The Protiv–Aspire integration is two-way, meaning information flows in both directions. That’s key for keeping your job data and performance tracking up to date automatically.
Here’s the full breakdown:
Two-way sync: What goes both directions
These items can be added or updated in either system and will sync back and forth:
1. Time Entries
- When workers clock in through the Protiv mobile app, their time entries are synced back to Aspire.
- If time is logged in Aspire, that time is also pulled into Protiv.
- This ensures your crews get credit for the hours they actually worked—no double entry needed.
2. Material Allocations
- You can search for, add to, or update materials inside Protiv tied to a specific work ticket.
- That info, like how much was used, syncs back to Aspire automatically.
- It’s also tied to production tracking in Protiv (ex: 10 trees installed = 50% done).
Coming Soon: Wage Sync
Wage sync is not live yet, but here’s what’s coming:
- When this update rolls out, you’ll be able to change hourly wages in Aspire, and Protiv will automatically pull in those updated rates.
- No more jumping between systems to fix wage discrepancies.
We’ll update this article the moment this feature goes live.
What triggers bonus creation?
This one’s important for payroll and manager approvals.
In Aspire, when you mark a job as “Complete”, here’s what happens behind the scenes:
- Protiv sees the “Complete” status and moves the related milestone to Pending Review.
- That milestone shows up in the manager’s review screen.
- A ProPay (performance-based bonus opportunity) is created automatically.
No need to manually start a bonus payout.
Aspire tells Protiv when the job’s done—Protiv takes it from there.
Sync timing: How often does it update?
Protiv syncs with Aspire about every 20 minutes.
So if you just updated something and don’t see it yet, give it a few.
- No need to manually trigger syncs
- Updates run quietly in the background
Why this matters
Knowing what syncs (and how) means:
- You know where to make changes (Aspire or Protiv)
- You avoid duplicate work
- You trust that your bonus data is based on real work
This setup is what lets Protiv automate performance pay without all the back-and-forth.
