What ProPay Efficiency reveals about your crew and why it matters

ProPay Efficiency shows how close your team gets to their full bonus potential—so you can coach based on real performance, not gut feel.

Ever wonder if your best workers are quietly subsidizing the worst?
You’re paying bonuses… but are your top performers earning what they could? Are your lowest performers coasting under the radar?

That’s where ProPay Efficiency comes in.

What is ProPay Efficiency?

ProPay Efficiency shows how close a worker gets to the maximum possible bonus on each job.

It’s not about how much they earned... it’s about how much they could have earned. Think of it like a percentage score:

  • A worker earns $90 on a job where they could’ve earned $100 → 90% Efficiency
  • A worker earns $50 on a job with $100 potential → 50% Efficiency

Efficiency ≠ dollars earned
Someone who earns $50 on a $100 job (50%) didn’t perform better than someone who earns $90 on a $90 job (100%). Efficiency reveals how close they got to the ceiling.

Why it matters

  • Clear coaching signal: Spot underperformance without micromanaging
  • Protects top performers: Rewards consistency, not just big wins
  • Highlights gaps: Shows when people are leaving money on the table

Without efficiency, you’re coaching with a blindfold on.

Benchmarks: what good looks like

Every company is different, but here’s a helpful starting point:

  • 85–100%Top-tier: You’re capturing most of the bonus
  • 65–84%Room to grow: Some money left behind
  • Below 65%Red flag: Let’s figure out what’s going wrong

You don’t need everyone at 100%. You just need a clear read on who’s winning, coasting, or struggling.

How to use it in the field

During a 1:1 or crew meeting:

  • “This job had $150 in bonus potential—you hit $105. That’s 70%. Want to walk me through what slowed us down?”
  • “You’ve been at 98% efficiency all month, even on tough jobs. That’s A-player consistency.”

This works because the math isn’t up for debate.
It’s not personal, it’s data-backed feedback.

Where to find it

You’ll see efficiency scores:

  • On each ProPay
  • Inside each worker’s Bonus Statement
  • In your Team Efficiency Report (Settings > Reports—coming soon!)

Next step: Pull your team’s Efficiency scores from the last 30 days.
Who’s crushing it? Who’s leaving money behind? That’s where the conversation starts.
