This article explains how to adjust bonus amounts on individual statements in Protiv, including when and why you might need to make adjustments.
Mistakes happen! If you need to adjust a bonus amount on a statement in Protiv, you can easily add or deduct bonuses. Here's how:
- Go to the Bonuses Page: Click on the "Bonuses" tab on the left side of your Protiv dashboard. 💰
- Find the Statement: Locate the specific bonus statement you want to edit. You can search by worker name or job, or filter by status (pending or closed).
- Click the Arrow: Click the arrow (▸) next to the statement to expand the details.
- Click "Add": On the right-hand side, you'll see the "Add" buttons next to the "Total Bonus" amount. Clicking either button will open a pop-up window.
- Deduction: Choose this option to subtract an amount from the total bonus. You can specify whether the deduction is related to a specific ProPay or a non-ProPay item.
- Bonus: Choose this option to add an additional bonus amount to the total bonus. Similar to deductions, you can choose whether the bonus is related to a specific ProPay or not.
- Enter "Description" and "Amount": Then, fill in the "Description" and "Amount" fields and click "Add Deduction" or "Add Bonus" to apply the change. If you change your mind, click "Cancel" to close the pop-up without making any changes.
- Click "Add Deduction" or "Add Bonus": This confirms and finalizes the change to the bonus statement.
Why Would I Need to Adjust a Bonus? 🤔
There are a few reasons you might need to adjust a bonus:
-
Errors: You may have entered the wrong bonus amount initially.
-
Changes in Scope: The job may have changed, requiring more or less work than originally estimated.
-
Performance Issues: The worker may not have met the quality or safety standards required to earn the full bonus.
-
Overages: If a worker went over budget on another ProPay, you might deduct that overage from their bonus.
🚨 Important Note: Only Admins and Managers have permission to add or deduct bonuses from statements.
