Alright, so we just finished editing all of our workers to make sure that their role was correct, that their wage was correct. Now the last baseline setting that we're going to look at is our notifications.
On the left-hand side of the navigation pane, you're going to click on settings, and this time we're going to go to the notifications tab. This is broken down into two sections, general settings, which are controls for the entire company, and then user-specific settings.
First, let's go ahead and look at the company settings. By default, everything's turned on. I generally recommend that you leave everything turned on, but if for any reason you want to turn it off, feel free to go ahead and do it.
In terms of the messaging that actually goes out, if you click on these little information buttons here, you're going to see the exact message that the workers are going to be receiving, or your team's going to be receiving rather. They get a notification; some people are curious, some people aren't. If you're curious, go ahead and click here in order to see what that is.
Next thing we're going to look at is the user settings itself. This is broken down. Obviously, you see all the users that are listed here. There are 16 workers that I have listed, but it's only showing 15. So I can change this to 50 just to make sure that I'm seeing all 16 workers if I need to.
If you need to edit these settings in any way, you're going to want to go ahead and go to the role section, and you can go ahead and bulk edit everything. According to admin, manager, or worker. So I currently don't have anybody as a manager inside of here, but I do have workers.
What you'll be able to do is go ahead and either click on the individual workers or select all of them right here next to name. You see, it says "13 selected," and then you can edit the notifications. So let's say if I want to disable all of the notifications because I'm in the sandbox period, and I'm worried about people receiving notifications even though Protiv is currently set up so they will not get notifications. And I just want to be safe. I would do that here. Disable notifications, turn it off, and nobody's going to be getting notifications with it.
In this group of worker roles, you see all of them have this little yellow bell next to them, indicating that they're not getting notifications at all.
Best practices, by the way, let's just say hypothetically that Manuel and John were office workers. We can go ahead and edit the notifications and enable them to receive emails. If they are office workers, best practices for office workers to get emails and for field staff to get text messages or SMS messages. I'll just go ahead and apply those changes, and you see all of a sudden that little bell disappeared here for these two, who are my hypothetical office workers, and they'll be getting email notifications for everything.
In terms of action items, you need to go to the settings tab. Click on the notifications tab, review the default notifications, and make any adjustments accordingly.
