This guide will walk you through the steps of creating a new automation to streamline your ProPay creation process. 🛠️
Creating a new automation in Protiv is a straightforward process. Follow these steps to set up your automation:
-
Access the Automations Page: Navigate to the "Automations" section on the left-hand side of your Protiv dashboard. 🖱️
-
Name Your Automation: Give your automation a descriptive name that reflects its purpose (e.g., "New Job ProPay Automation"). 🏷️
-
Select Jobs: Choose which jobs the automation will apply to. You can select "All Jobs" or specific jobs assigned to a particular crew lead. 💼
-
Set Automation Triggers: Define when the automation should be triggered. You have two options:
- When the job creation date is the same or after a specified date: This triggers the automation when a new job is created on or after a specific date. 📅
- When a worker clocks in on or after a specified date: This triggers the automation when a worker clocks in on a job on or after a specific date. ⏰
-
Calculate ProPay Budget: Choose how the ProPay budget should be calculated:
- Using the job's contract price: The ProPay budget will be based on the total contract price of the job. 💰
- Using the labor budget: The ProPay budget will be based on the estimated labor cost of the job. 👷
- Using the hours budget: The ProPay budget will be based on the estimated number of hours required to complete the job. ⏳
- Important Note: Depending on your integration, certain features, like automatically including your budget, may not be available.
- Select Manager: Choose the default manager for the ProPay from the dropdown menu. This should be an employee with admin or manager permissions. 🧑💼
- Divide Bonus (Optional): If you want to include a bonus in your ProPay, specify how it should be divided:
- Hours worked (distributed equally): The bonus will be divided equally among the workers based on the hours they worked on the job. ⚖️
- Weighted by wage (set percentage): You can manually set the percentage of the bonus each worker will receive. This option is not recommended for automations, as it requires manual input. 🛠️
- Start Automation: Choose whether to:
- Draft the automation (start later): Save the automation as a draft to review and activate later. 📝
- Run it immediately (start now): Activate the automation immediately. 🚀
Important Note: Remember that you must have an integration set up to use automations. If you don't have an integration, you'll need to create ProPays manually.
Additional Notes:
- We are actively working on creating new automations to offer more customization options for your business.
- The available fields and features may vary depending on your integration.
