      What is the Import page in Protiv and what can I do there? 🤔

      The Import page is where you can upload files to add or update information about your team's time, jobs, and worker data. 📁

      The Import page in Protiv is your go-to place for bringing in important information about your team's time data. It's designed to make it easy to add or update data related to:

      • ⏰ Time: Track the hours your team members have worked.

      • 💼 Jobs: Keep tabs on the progress and status of your projects.

      • 👥 Worker Data: Manage information about your employees.


      Important Note:       You'll only need to use the Import page if you don't have an integration connected to Protiv. If you don't have an integration, you'll need to import your data either daily or weekly, depending on how often you want your workers to get notifications. You'll also need to create ProPays manually.

       

      How It Works 🔄

      1. Find the Import Page: Look on the left side of your Protiv dashboard for the "Import" tab.

      2. Upload Your Files: You can drag and drop files directly onto the page or click to browse your computer and select the files you want to upload. Protiv accepts .xls and .csv files.

      3. Match the Columns: Protiv will automatically try to match the columns in your file with the correct fields in the system. If it can't figure something out, you can match them yourself.

      4. Check Your Work: Once your files are uploaded, Protiv will remove any duplicate entries. Take a moment to review the import history to make sure everything looks correct.


      Tips for a Smooth Import       ✅

      • Use the Template: Protiv has a handy template for formatting your data correctly. 

      • Double-Check Your Data: Before you upload, make sure your information is accurate and up-to-date. This will help prevent any errors.

      • Be Careful with Names: Double-check the spelling of job names and employee names. Typos can create duplicate entries or other problems.

      • Consider Integrations: If you can, we strongly recommend using an integration like BusyBusy to automate your data imports and avoid manual errors. You can also explore other integrations that Protiv offers.
