The Settings page in Protiv is where you customize how Protiv works for your company. You can manage general settings, cost codes, and notifications. 🛠️
Think of the Settings page as the control center for your Protiv experience. It's where you can personalize Protiv to fit your company's unique needs.
Here's a quick overview of what you can do:
General Tab 📄

Overtime Settings: Set the threshold and multiplier for weekly and daily overtime. Keep in mind that these vary by state, province, or country.

Seventh Consecutive Day Overtime: Toggle the option for additional overtime on the seventh consecutive workday. This also varies by location, so reference your local laws.

Additional Settings:
- Time Format: Choose between 12-hour and 24-hour formats.
- Hours Per Day Referenced: Set a standard number of hours per day (e.g., 6, 8, 10, 12).
- Hours Total Calculations: Choose between hours and minutes or decimal format for time calculations.
- Time Zone: Select the appropriate time zone for your business operations. If your time zone isn't listed, contact Protiv support. It's crucial to set the correct time zone, as it affects when your workers receive notifications.

Payroll and Time Settings:
- Payroll Cycle: Choose between weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly.
- Period Start Date: Select the start date for your payroll cycle.
- Propay Settings: Add an optional "Complete" status to your ProPays. This can be used as a holding pattern before approving ProPays, and is often helpful for those who review ProPays weekly or bi-weekly.
Cost Codes Tab (If Applicable) 🔢
- Cost Codes: If you have an integration, you can import cost codes used to ensure accurate job time tracking.
Notifications Tab 🔔

General Notification Controls: Manage notification settings for all users in your company.

Propay Notifications: Set notifications for ProPay assignments, approvals, closures, and budget updates using the toggle switch.

User-Specific Notifications: Customize notifications for individual workers. You can search and filter workers, and enable or disable SMS and email notifications for specific users.

Bulk Edit User Notifications: Select users with the same role (e.g., all workers) to edit their notifications in bulk. You can disable all notifications, enable email or SMS notifications, or customize notifications further.
How to Access the Settings Page 🖱️

Log in to Protiv: Sign in to your Protiv account.

Navigate to Settings: On the left-hand side of your dashboard, you'll see a navigation pane with various sections like Dashboard, ProPay, Bonuses, etc. Click on the "Settings" tab. ⚙️

Choose the Relevant Tab: Once you're on the Settings page, you'll see different tabs (General, Cost Codes, Notifications). Click on the tab you want to explore.
Important Note: Not all tabs may be visible to you. The tabs you see depend on how your Protiv account is set up and whether you have any integrations connected.
